Two simple 3D foam "C" elements locked together. On the back Erni writes; "Strange Yin & Yang Fire & Water Good & Evil"
At first it looked simple, but then many deep meanings come to mind. If Fire is Red and Water is blue, then shouldn't Good be Red and Evil Blue?
It would be interesting to come up with a questionaire with words, and people would have to attribute colors to them. Yes, I'm sure someone is going to tell me that it has already been done. But don't forget, you heard it here first!
I'm not sure what they really are. The only clue I have is that on the back a bit of the paper is coming off. Under the paper and on the original package it reads; "Made in China"
Thank you Erni. I hope you had nice travels in China!
Comment
Are these enough? I hope they help.
Welllllll! you wanted comments!
Red is the colour of the devil and everything celestial is painted in blue, so I would say better to assume that red is evil and blue is good.
I heard that some people see music in colour. That may be why certain passages are called coloratura
I love the colours, very bright and cheerful.
Oh, I had not seen the previous entry by Ernie. Of course they are too small for seats; they are meant to keep doors from closing, so the cat can go in and out. Brilliant idea!
Well the whole world is made in China it seems so no surprise there. Are they portable loo seats for the germ conscious? One could carry one in a bag to use in public loos. Red and Blue? Mmmmm, prerhaps they are 'His and Hers'. I know that in India female goddesses are red and males blue, like hKhrhishnah. ( it has an 'h' somewhere so take your pick)
Oh...that;s not an EGG, it's a door handle?
Well, it looks like an EGG....and i have EGG on my mind:
Come on, dear people, scramble:
February 23, 2013 to April 23, 2013 – Thessaloniki and Aitoliko, GREECE
Duh! Dean! Put them at the lower part of the door, and on a windy day, your doors won't slam shut...especially if you run downstairs to pick up the mail art. You can leave you door open and you won't be locked out.
Then again...the egg holder is a good idea :-)
After some research I discovered that Erni purchased these from a Euro Shop, (That would be a Pound Shop in the UK, and a Dollar Store in the USA. However in the USA you have to pay $1.17 which I never found logical.)
Anyway, outside of the art world, these are child proof door stops.
The most difficult part was to figure out how they worked.
And Yes, they work! I haven't seen a child for 5 days.
Well they nearly worked, except for on the weekends when come home to wash their clothes, eat my food, and use the internet.
But I'm thinking of changing the locks on the front door to handle that problem.
Thank you again Erni. And Fun test from Kats. No problem here.
