I have a question: If the identically replaced item turns out to be defective or unacceptable, does it become a refundable fungible?...or just a refungible? Either way fungibles or refungibles seem like a grat way to put the "fun" back in auditing.

Or the "fungi" back in gerbils.

...I can now see that this might be "mushrooming" into dangerous semantic territory.
