Dancing Skeletons from Theresa Ann Williams

I received an intricate collage from Theresa featuring asemics, iconic images and dancing skeletons. A clue to the contents was on the front of the envelope – “It’s a good week for lovers of old-school monster Reade, the godfather of stop-motion animation.” Reade (1927 – 1998) was of course the Australian who created the character Pepe – an animated propaganda cartoon character in Cuba.  Theresa and Stamped Theresa's :-) X

Theresa’s collage however looks a little more to me like The Skeleton Dance (1929)  – a Walt Disney Silly Symphonies animation  The Skeleton Dance.  I suppose that’s because I love  Edvard Grieg’s  - The March of the Trolls -which was partly adapted for that short production.  Then of course, the overwritten girl in the corner, covered in asemic scrawl – what’s her story I wonder???

Thanks Theresa – its good to be trading :-) X

Yeeey, a blog... nice.

The March of the Trolls :-)))  he'll be marching on to this place in no time...

No, seriously now, the asemic dancing skeletons are great. And I like the analogy of dancing and asemics, they can both be subdivided into so many styles.... great work!
