May 1, 2015 - Lautreamont (Isidore-Lucien Ducasse) – a progenitor of the avant – famously wrote: “As beautiful as the chance encounter of a sewing machine and an umbrella on an operating table.” This quote comes to mind as I regard this recent piece received from Joey Patrickt. In addition to his clear West Coast popcult meditations, Joey can do cryptic with the best of them. He can play the tropes of DaDa and Surrealism with – I suppose the word is – alacrity.
