This morning when I returned from a trip to the post office and supermarket and bakery and green grocer and... well, when I returned to the apartment building, there on my door buzzer, next to my name, was this little "non-delivery" notice...from the courier service of ELTA! Wow! That is rare.

Must be something from the gods?

The notice stated that they have a package from "Germania" and I'd have to phone to arrange another time of delivery. So, yes, I immediately phoned, gave all the info, package number, etc. and the clerk on the other end said: "yes, it can be in tomorrow's deliveries...between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m."..."Yes, you must be at home those three hours". Anything for Erni, I thought...knowing all too well that a "package from Germania" is a package from Erni.

But then...the buzzer rang, and from my balcony I saw an ELTA courier man, with a very, very, very large box!

(big enough to use as a foot rest...measures 40 x 58 x 25 cm)

He brought it to my doorway, and said that he had finished all deliveries for the day but thought to stop once more with this package before leaving work. Awwww....I don't have to wait tomorrow three hours for the delivery! Here it is! (And that was one dear postal courier who got a BIG tip!)

So, the package is a work of art, yes? Of course...stamps and portrait of Erni,

comics and very important notice to "FEED THE WORLD" (Coming to Greece from Germany..how nice!)

Of course there was Dean Marks, with vivid instructions on how to open mail from Erni...oh, yes!

knife in hand, I was ready! (Dig-into-Dean?)

But I decided to do more precise and delicate surgical operations along the sides,

not to destroy the fine art of the paper wrappings ;-)

Beautiful box...wonderful for mail art archives storage...WOW!

Open top and...acck...aroma of "grass" and stuff...(sneezing)

What kind of "grass"???...don't ask, or better yet, ask the bunnies and furry creatures :-0

What is "MARSCHWEISENHEU"?

Mmmmmm, good? ( mit beeren...with beer?)

Ok, hands in the "stuff"( - snuff sneezing,) and out comes another well wrapped package...about this size (see foot)

So the BIG box was full of wonderful "packing grass" to protect a delicate work of art..,(sneezing).

Very carefully I cut tape and unwrap, just in case it is mayonaise...well, I know it is not, as it must be:

yes it is! Trashpo SCULPTURE!

"A gift from the garbage" for mail art! Yay!

It is that trashpo sculture that Erni posted and asked: " who wants it?" (...guess who?)

And it really is an amazing structure, in the sunlight...or not:

Must take photos of all sides, corners, a trashpo sculture needs 3D exposure!

Look, Dean, Look! Bar codes...BAR and bar code!

Really FAB, Herr Erni! 'Must spend time "reading" details! Amazing!!

Thank you muchly...and I plan to display it in May at the "Gallery of Colors"! xxx

Kat, you are brilliant!! 19 photos!!! I love your blogs, like Janine says, it's like experiencing the unwrapping with you! The scale pictures "see foot" are hilarious! I think Erni had fun making this too!

No, Erni...I did not find the chocolate because I was sneezing...(allergy???)

But I have kept all the hay in the box, so I'll get a mask from the pharmacy

tomorrow and search through the hay for choco glam! Mmmmm, that I will

definitely do !! xx
