Bicycle Race

This photo has nothing to do with the upcoming bicycle race, except that the race will take place outdoors, and there'll be trees.

Richmond, VA, USA, has been chosen to host the 2015 UCI World championships. This is the only place it'll ever be in the USA, so to say we're excited is to put it mildly. I'm SO excited. Parts of the course will be very close to my home, walking distance.

In conjunction with the race, I'm collaborating with a gallery owner and a coffee shop/roaster owner, to put up a big Mail Art exhibit. Details need to be worked out with their association (early March) and then I'll post the information here and everywhere. The races will be in mid-September.

For sure, we'll have riders/teams from Germany and from the U.K. I'm so looking forward to this. I've signed us up to be volunteer dinner hosts, feed people in our home. It'll be fun.

And we have the Prudential London Bike Ride in August which goes past about two minutes from our front door. It creates quite a party atmosphere in our part of London with food, music - and you're right Mim, there should be art!
