It speaks for itself. this book is so delicate, rich, and decidedly feminine. The back page is coated in beeswax giving it a smooth texture. love the thread, gauzy tissue paper, and photography. I really love this cross section of one of her larger pieces and the asemic elements really hit on a subconscious level. I felt pure raw emotion when I opened this. thank you so much Cheryl!

Lesley, all I can think to do at this point is launch The International Translate Cheryl Penn Into English Institute - we shall gather the best minds available and bring definitive translations of these notes to the mail-art community. People will be able to submit CP-SA notes for translation. I can think of no other solution.

Being very familiar with Cheryl's writing I beg to differ. Here is my translation of the recent note she posted: "Yes, or read back like leif a whacko? Melville ace fuse. I'll water all the PBJ - I, we. art a sock, O! Spastic? I could have seat added be, be an ear, be apple, Cleo!" I think that makes more sense.

And Diane....Shadow Cat understands that Cheryl has sent you a piece of her project:

"The World is a Town", and she wishes you to send her something back for that project....simple:

"At last! A piece of "The World is a Town" to you.

Please send me something."

meow ;-)

The Shadow knows...

"Yes! You read it backwards which made sense.

I'll bet after that puzzle I'll get a sudoku, I suppose?

Should have sent a clearer one, after all..."

(Right on...keep 'em "clear" and we'll get the "meaning", Cheryl!)
