National Postal Museum

For my birthday this year, we made a day trip by train, to Washington, D.C. for another visit to the National Postal Museum.  The museum is right across the street from the train station, how convenient for us.  There is a terrific gallery of stamps on the mail floor and on the lower level are displays relating to the postal service, interactive stuff, a post office…

Look what I was able to find! Plus not missing out on Edmund.

I found the super blotter thingy at an antique shop. It's copper on the top & it took a bit but we figured out how to put clean blotter paper on it. I just happened to have some. It's so useful with my new fountain pen (a lovely Lamy Nexx) and also with rubber…
