Erni Bar: My Collected Silence

I have nothing to say.

Except that I put this thing in my DVD player.  At first there was dead silence alright, and actually even when the smoke started coming out of the machine there was still silence.  Nope it wasn't until the flames shot out that I started hearing crackly sounds.

Thank you Erni, now how am I ever going to watch that Silence of the Lambs…

Erni Bär: Unsigned Havana Club Can

It arrived in a very ingénues envelope of two pieces of cardboard stuck together with envelope pins.

And here it is, Erni's Unsigned Havana Club Can.  Sadly Erni has left the IUOMA website, but even more sad is he didn't sign this can.  I can't put it on e-bay is it…

Dharmadada Erni Bär: Berlin Wall

A piece of history and art combined on the book cover of Deutschland Uber Alles Kurt Tucholsky.

Pure genius. The 12.5cm x 5.5cm piece of the Berlin Wall is signed by Erni himself and dated some 26 years after the wall came down on 9 November 1989.  It is said that…

Erni Bar: Mail Art Black Mail

Mail Art that should be taken seriously.  Really   I translated this text into German, recorded it on a vinyl and then played it backwards.  It played Val's favourite song; Theme from Inspector Derrick

Erni Bar: Scenik Du-Du

Unfortunately I nearly tore this one completely apart until I finally realised that I wasn't suppose to.

Hence the name;  Scenik Du-Du    Which means; "You don't know what you got until it's gone."

Thank you Erni.  This one was a goner for…

Erni Bar: Normal Empo & Aprikosen Keks Y Hoo

The Day of German Unity is not until the 3rd of October, but Erni seems to have started to celebrate already with apricot biscuits.  Personally I like to cut apricots in half and put them together again.  I know this might sound strange, but it's just one of those little joys in life.  Try it yourself next time you eat an…
