Not very often that we see mail art from Bifidus,
but here is a fantastic card that was in my mailbox!
However, there is no postage date cancellation...and it does say "Hairy, Spiny"..."Happy New Year"!…

'Tis rare to receive a card from Bifidus, but so worth the long wait!
Excellent, as always, is the fine cut 'n paste items on the card and fantastic details...like the Czech stamp!…

Well in the end, I guess it all comes down to what you are smoking. And as we all know the famous wise phrase; "You can smoke but you don't have to inhail." Or is it something about a horse and water?
Whatever the phrase may be, Bifudus sends some very pleasing pieces. Yes, those are tinted edges.
Thank you…

This amazing drawing arrived in A3 size, but here you only have a few details. The part I enjoyed the most. The Silo, the outhouse, the cornfield (now if they could only talk), the potato planter, and the chicken coop. (Where my rock band practised for endless hours.) What wonderful memories this brought back. Thank you Mr. Jones…

Good memories from Bifidus of life on the farm in 1972!
This is a double A4 printed sheet (that makes it an A3?)
It unfolds to reveal wondrous details of life and local structures on-the-farm.
Left half:…

The Land O Lakes kid pulls a fab piece out of his log cabin and sends it to Paris. This book is simply amazing, and had me smiling from sweet corn ear to sweet corn ear. Thank you very much Mr. Jones.
But the girls that do, have a ball.
A good story always has a little hidden mystery included.…

BIFIDUS JONES has also been extremely GENEROUS to me. Bifidus has got the art of collage DOWN! What elements make Bifidus’s art so appealing? The COLORS, definitely… The vintage-style images, curious images. Interesting images paired against vintage typeface and handwriting. This particular beauty has stamp images and characters, INCREDIBLE old U.S. postage stamps…

If dropping six figures at the art supply store ain't your gig, consider joining the All Things Trashpo group here at IUOMA. If you got something deep and wide to say and no language on the planet can suffice, join Asemic Writing for Mail Artists. If you're one of those people who can't help but reach out and touch art, say a Van Gogh at an art museum because his brushstrokes are calling you, maybe you should join the Haptic Poetry group here. And if you have a penchant for disobeying…

Ryosuke Cohen's Brain Cell project, begun in 1985, is a networked art project where artists create their own work of art with stamps, drawings, or stickers and send them to Cohen, who prints each cell - 150 copies each - and sends them back to each participant. New editions are published every 8 to 10 days.
"...we are…

Everyone knows I love maps--maybe it's because they're a 2D representation of a 3D place, maybe it's their subdued colors, but mostly it's because of what they symbolize--movement, the journey, the visuals of where we've come from, where we've been, where we have to go, where we want to go, where our lovers are, and maybe places to avoid no matter what. Nancy has given me a…

The mind can be a vast thing: ocean-deep, cosmos-wide and in the distance, more distance. That's why Erni's instructions for the readymade art is so appreciated and valuable. I love anything that comes from the Off Scene Academie Hamburg. Wird ein Professor Rektor der Universitat, so nennt man ihn, "Magnifizenz".…
