Ah PrettyLilly has found the secret to my heart .... GLITTER! I always had this idea that glitter was not allowed in Mail Art. Birthday Cards OK, but not Mail Art. Then again this is a Valentine's Day Card after all. Thank you very much PrettyLilly and no I am not blogging what you wrote inside the card. Gentlemen never tell, and besides, I know that your husband sometimes reads your blogs!…

Katerina Nikoultsou has gone beyond the blue films on DVD's and returned to the classics. I like this medium of support for paintings, it's fun and meaning full. Thank you DJ Katerina!
Fun facts: Joni Mitchell is now 68 years young, and is actually Canadian and not American as I thought. Great talent comes from places where you have to stay indoors for 9 months of the year.…

A long day last Friday which ended in a surprise. We got home very late (or early in the morning) from seeing the Paris avant premiere of "The Iron Lady" which was a good film but I fell asleep 3 times. Meryl Streep was fab in the role of Margaret Thatcher. Too tired to go to sleep we chatted awhile in the kitchen when I noticed that I still had not opened Erni’s package. …

AH those French ladies know how to use the English language to their advantage. This reminds me of a very funny event. Once I went to a swimming pool in England and saw a sign that said "No Heavy Petting in the Pool", and for the life of me could not understand what it meant. I asked a lady in the pool what the sign meant, and she slaps me across the face. “Wise guy”, she said, and did the breast stroke to the other side of the pool, and told the life guard to keep an eye on me. I…

Well I never get mail art from Paris, so this is my first! What a nice surprise from down the block, .. by bus. I never think of putting French phrases on Mail Art, but this is a great phrase! What will be, is what will be! Thank you Mim

Living 9 months of the year indoors makes people talented, and Minnesota is the place to be where you have 9 months of winter and 1 month each for the other seasons. Check out Dave's website; bluffecho.com and you can hire Dave & his French horn for all your events, and he can draw. Thank you Dave, warm thoughts for you.…

Lovely and interesting piece from Cheryl Penn. Sewing, story & envelope all in one. I like the story but these are a few faults. Women who hold up the world ... say anywhere you want to be and they will take you there. However, recently I have notice a lot of women wandering around parking lots looking for where they parked thier car. Is there a time limit on how long it…

Can anyone guess who sent me this! Yes, that is fresh Mayonnaise on our kitchen cupboards, and wait, there is more, and more, and more. Up to 2 meters (6 feet) high up the walls on the other side of the kitchen as well.
I went into shock and had to be rushed to the MAYO clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. My wife was left behind to take pictures of the crime…

I sent this ticket to Val so that he could come to Paris for the Mail Art Meeting. So far he is still at the train station trying to explain to the control that it is indeed real. But she didn't care. My guess is that he will hitch-hike, and should arrive by next Friday.
You can't fool those French women train controllers!…

The coded cookie reads; "Hi Dean, Anything else would be too normal". Well Erni has surpassed himself again, and pulled it off with only a little help from der Deutche Post. The Pfefferkuchen, (but my German grandmother called them cookies because she wanted to sound American), arrived in a plastic bag. It seems that the Deutche Post was so amazed by this creation, that they forgot to cancel the stamps! Thank you Erni, the Haptic Werewolf has surely gone where no Werewolf has gone…

No need to look any further to find a way to stretch your dollars, shred them and pass them around to the boys. When Erni & I get together we will have a buck! Thank you Katerina, It has everything a man could want, and bar codes to boot. …

Yes, a B side of Erni ready for the battle of the Bar codes. What I really like the most about this piece is that the support is made from beer packaging with an original bar code. A sign of the times for his Fan Club. Thank you for the support you have given me.…

When I lived in Germany, Frau Weleda was my landlady and would give me brandy & coke every month when I came to pay my rent. Little did I know at the time that later in life, I would be recieving Mail Art from her Grandson or that George Clooney would be runing for president of the Erni Fan club. Amazing how life gives us so many wonderful things. Thank you very much Erni for this piece, but wait! There's a B side as well…

Subtitled as "The Bow Tie Miracle" which has something to do with American baseball, but I'm not sure what. I only got to second base when I lived in America, but I did have a few double plays. Anyway, this card is a Home Run with bases loaded. Thank you very much Alicia. PS I'm a great fan of the Iowa Red Socks.…

Yes, I put it in my CD player and it started playing the Happy birthday tune, then suddenly the CD started smoking, flames started coming from under the cover and I quickly threw the whole thing in the bath tub where the tune changed to "Smoke on the Water". Thank you very much Katerina, it was very thoughtful of you to remember. SO KATERINA's BIRTHDAY is the 7th of February I see?…

Another one of Cathérine's self portraits! Why don’t I do work like this? Ah yes, I remember, it takes talent. A wonderful piece and Cathérine also seems to be a cinema buff as well.
This time Cathérine you hit it right on the head. A lovely piece and…
