Looking for fellow Mail Artists

Posted on June 24, 2013 at 8:22pm 5 Comments

I think I may have stumbled onto the right place. I started making mail art back in 1976-- sheesh-- under my name S. Mericle-- in 1991 I changed it to Mars Tokyo and invented the Mars Tokyo Rubber Stamp Co. which I owned till 2000-- then sold it to Adorned Surface. Looking for some old familiar names and some new ones. I hope that Mail Art isn't dead, that it's still alive and well. I'd like to resurface--looking for exchanges.

Hi Mars - thanks for the A&P's. I'll add them to the ever-growing backlog!! LOL! And especially for the Collab ATC's by you and Richard Baudet. I really love the two different esthetics meeting up this way!

Wow, Mars, thanks for the Marilyn envelope -- that's an amazing stamp! and also for the A&P's. I've got a collection of them I need to get cracking on soon!

Mars, thanks for the fascinating postcard. I had to look up the quote about Iolaus! I love that there is a teeny woman near the bottom of the card in the midst of the huge roses.

Mars, thank you for the great postcard! These poor women with their chalky faces and upside down internal organs on the outside of their bodies! I don't know how they keep smiling! At least this one has a beautiful camel-hair coat on. AND, she has eyes! Nice!
