Chicago had a 35 year record cold and snowy winter that still has not ended. :D We still have snow on the ground as of yesterday 3/26/2014. The meteorologists tell us the Polar Vortex was disrupted and we got an Alaskan winter. Chicago winters are legendarily bad on their own, cold, snow, ice storms, howling wind. I know a lot of Russians from St. Petersberg who immigrated and said winter here is worse than anything in Russia. :D A blogger created the term "Chiberia" and the name stuck. It is supposed to be spring but still cold and now people are calling it Winter Without End. I drew this zine in a 24 slam when we had a record -35ºF / -37ºC three day cold snap and all the news told us to not go outside at all or leave our homes unless we absolutely had to do so.

"Surviving Winter?" and Spring?  and Summer? and Autumn? Surviving is sometimes the only one chance. For the artists that's the same. But don't worry about, Shellie. Ars longa vita brevis. Sisley had many difficulties in proposing his splendid landscapes. Modigliani with his portraits too. And Van Gogh what could he do without his brother Theo? I like however very much your birds with "Japanese brush". Brava!
