Yep, acrylic.

I tried it with lino print paint, but the colours don't blend together well...and take an awfully long time to dry.

Sometimes I add a drop or two of water to the centre of a glass plate to facilitate the 'spreading' effect of the colour.

Do you use acrylic paint?

Thanks Amy!

Interesting technique -- that I may borrow/copy, stp.

I use plates of glass. My one and only round one comes from an old camera lens filter.

But now you've given me ideas.

Let me give you one. If you can get hold of an old Arty Slide with a glass 'window' panel, take out the glass, and you have a nice lil 35 mm square piece that you can print from.

Thank you Val...I have seen yours on your photo page...I love them!

You are getting a similar effect...I use a slick fabric paint that comes in little bottles and pill bottle caps that fit the size I want....put the paint on the cap...squish it onto the paper...sometimes I give the cap a little twirl...just like a little girl showing off a new dress !!! and wallllll-ahhhh...sun spots *!*

Great!

How do you make your sun spots, Amy?

I'm doing something very similiar. See My Photos here, or the Glass Print section in www.val-herman-art.eu, or look below at a couple of recent examples.

Curiously yours, Val
