The Mail Art Omens provided me with a bordeaux colored glove. It's a sign to stock up on Bordeaux wine as winter is coming.
Then again, maybe it's just plain red.

But not everywhere I look around
GLove is in the air
But no sight or even a sound

And I don't know if I'm being foolish
Don't know if I'm being wise
But it's something that I must believe in
And I better go and bake my pumpkin pie ...

I'm thinking positive thoughts, Dean:

"Glove is in the air..."

Ah ha! So I suggest a sock, and 2 hours later Dean finds a pair.

My latest suggestion is.... a dinosaur (dead or alive, it doesn't matter).

You have 2 hours Dean, starting from......NOW!

Yes, and doesn't it seem very likely that it arrived in such wonderful shape because postal workers loved it. You've taught me a great lesson, Dean, about watching for those mail art omens--who knows how many I've passed by that were lying in the road, crying out to me for help, and I didn't know then how to help them ...

hi nancy, thanks for telling me about the blog, I seems to have missed it.  I see that even the tag on the bracelet made it as well.  Surely a good luck charm for you to take off an wear everyday.  May even warn off lazy Mail Art Omens!  So far no glove for Katerina, but I guess I could always go back and see if the socks are still there ...

Dean, what marvelous tales of your rides through the streets and the mail omen phenomenon. (For future reference, you don't need to pass by socks when you have me over here, a sock lover. Look what Val posted, he must have ESP!)  When you do find another glove, I think it should go to Katerina. I thought that even before she posted below. Thank you all for the Thanksgiving wishes--it's a beautiful sunny day here for it.

p.s. Did you see I blogged your glove? and included new photos. It's in the window, and looks like someone fancy is trying to call attention to passersby that he/she is locked in a cellar.

May you have many glove-and-sock mail art omens today, Dean...

(I'd like #2 version of The Glove...hint, hint!)

Have a happy French-wine-and-caviar-dreams Thanksgiving! xx

Dear Nancy, as you lye sleeping, I was out and about this morning. After about 5 minutes on my bike, I saw it just ahead of me.  I thought that this was amazing, and you would be proud that I already found another glove to send someone.  I approached it slowly; ready to jump off my bike a scoop it up when I realized that is wasn’t a glove, but a pair of socks lying in the street.  “Stuff that” I said and rode pass it quickly before anyone could see that I was going to stop and pick up a pair of socks.  For the rest of the day I did not see single glove lying in the street, whereas a few days ago I saw plenty and rode right by them.  “What’s the problem?”; I thought.  Is it another element of global warming, and that I should tell Al Gore?  Well not at all, it’s those Mail Art Omens playing tricks.  That is what makes them so special.  You can not command Mail Art Omens to provide you with items.  They happen when they happen, and that is why we should be thankful when they do.  Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Put a sock in it!

Now, there's an idea....

The pear bottles normally have a clear Pear Brandy in them.  I just googled pear in a bottle, and there is even a U tube video about it.  Amazing.

No the fingers are done with the same piece of cardboard. It is made with one single piece, no cutting.  But you gave me an idea ... yes another one!  I found your glove a couple of weeks ago.  It was the first one I saw this year.  Now I see them everywhere on the street, but I go right by them. "I've done that project", I say to myself.  But now you gave me a new idea, so I think I'll do a version two.  Who do you think should get it?  I'll let you decide, or put this idea on e-bay and let them bid on it!  What a great idea, see you did it again.
