You go girl!  Show & tell.  I'm supposed to be pre-packing for a trip and I just can't seem to get off the net.

Thanks, Katerina.  Yes.... Jon Foster does indeed deserve credit for sharing that "happy accident".  And with the new tearable tape, it's just perfect for travel.  Have tape roll - will travel!  Now if, I could capture entire words like he does..............hmmm.  Nah, when I think about it, I rarely use words in any of my work.  Just parts of words.  So this suits me well.   I'll have to try the scotch tape.

I just made one! I did not get as much paper off the tape as I could, but it was fun! Yes it definitely is the time for fodder!

Really excellent effects, Sue! And you are right...this is perfect for making mail art while traveling as there is no need of glue or even scissors! And fun things can be done with even the narrow scotch tape roll! JonFoster started the tape-transfer technique by accident, as something he was taping down went onto newspaper and then he lifted image, color...great stuff!

Cool, MM.  Careful when you lay the tape down that you keep control all 4 corners.  If not, the tape will grip the catalog or magazine and you pull off more paper than you want.  I had to try a few before I got the hang of it.  Now I am pretty quick and can burnish what I want to pick up or get some cool effects.  Some papers are just too flimsy for this, so you just have to experiment.  Tis the season when the mailbox is full of fodder.  :-)

Neat. So you basically lay the packing on the catalog surface and then lift it to see what lifts up with the tape? I may have to try this.

Thanks!  No, it's not photoshop.  I used tearable packing tape and catalongs as my palette.  Lifted off bits of the color from the paper and placed them where I thought they worked best.  Great technique to travel with.
