Great piece, Alicia. the metal bends...very expressive.

Yep, early morning September 11, 2001 was like the beginning of a "Spring" day...and then.

Katerina, seeing your piece was a bit de ja vu. (sic) here is the piece i created back in 2001. Funny, but i don't remember the blue sky, just toxic smoke and ash.

That's really well done, Katerina! I like it. Yes, you never know how a very promising day will turn out. While America commemorated Sept 11, here it was the 6 month "anniversary" of the earthquake and tsunami. I remember it also started as a very beautiful day.

Thank you, Sloan and Mariano. The sky was that blue in Chicago 10 years ago, too. I was there...and the sky was so blue on CNN's reporting images of NYC...(Mariano loves blue!) Green is the color for hope, added instead of grey smoke.

You really did get it Kat. On that day ten years ago - it started out as a SPECTACULAR early autumn day. The sky was the most beautiful blue without a cloud, just like your piece. The sky was going to become more and more the focus as they day went on. One of those strange ironies.
