Jaakko Hintikka: philosopher of the “Good question?”

What is the world’s worst building? There are many candidates:

North Korea resumes construction of 'world's worst' hotel ...

travel.usatoday.com/.../north...worlds-worst-hotel-/146355/1 Cached

Is North Korea finally serious about completing construction of Ryu-Gyong Hotel - once called the world's worst building - after years of neglect and secrecy?

There are those who think all buildings, including reality itself, are an unfortunate illusion. And then there’s the state of Idaho: it should have boundaried at the Continental Divide many miles into what is now Montana. But the mining interests had other ideas and now Idaho is a tottering jig saw puzzle. Well avant-garded?

Things go bad in a variety of ways. People construct all sorts of rules:

FREEING WOMEN FROM THE SPELL OF 'OCHOBO' a woman in Japan can't eat or show an open mouth, so she can't eat hamburgers. solution? a hamburger facemask with a closed mouth that allows the woman to open her mouth behind the mask.

The world's wurst (sic) building would have been the casino that was planned for Madrid, but has now been canned. (See BBC News, and then Europe.)

I'll only make this one comment, and then go away and leave you boys'n'girls to enjoy yourselves for the rest of the night -- Have Fun! -- and anyway I'm starting a new job in Seoul next week, a wise Korea move, n'est-ce pas?
