Well, what seems to happen so often when someone daft like you and m, Vizmum, start one of these debates, is that the original artist/poster ducks out and lets us all get on with it; Whatever 'it is' -- which often gets forgotten in the banter. Val

Yes, I suppose they have changed...

"Who did I see you with last night?"

"That was  my....." and then it gets tricky cos you have to fill in the politically correct gender, environmental, racial, ageist, mental, marital, physical, etc etc etc descriptors.

It's probably easier  to either just say 'Sam' (gender neutral name?), the cat, or refer them to your Fartbook page;
