Just one of my many Official Residences when i used to live in England

(Repititions no 26) This is Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle, County Durham. One day I might show you my unofficial residences. And, if you are very lucky indeed, the Repititions series will feature my chateaux (nb plural) in France.

As well as dusting, it includes the exclusive rights of swinging from the chandeliers, sliding down the bannisters, Olympic skeleton-type toboganning down the stairs,  feeding unwelcome visitors to the pirannahs (they are called Doris, Boris, Horace and Maurice) in the 'goldfish' (ha! fooled 'em) pond, and shooting peasants -- sorry that should be 'pheasants ' -- on Bank Holidays and weekends.

What makes a residence 'official'? Do you do your own dusting?  --Linda
