Danish & other Scandinavian/Nordic TV crime series are very popular in the UK at the moment. Perhaps you could get the publishers/broadcasters to start issuing fingerprint stamps to accompany them?

(My favourite Danish crime writers are Leif Davidson and Mikkel Birkegaard. I have mixed feelings about Peter Hoeg -- sometimes his books are very good, other times unreadable, for me at least)
