Comment by Ian C Dengler on November 8, 2013 at 2:25pm: maybe. maybe you are supposed to intuit them as common sense. maybe maybe the guidelines are OBAMACARE, and I admit to hapless inability to work up even a stamp. in this case 'guidelines' could refer to:

a) the colors and shapes which guide your eye

b) the epigenetics of learning which have done allowed you to open email etc

c) the health rules for leafy vegetables..uh..how big is a leaf? parsley is a small leaf?

..note on Washington: a state of the USA in the northwest, far from Washington DC, but by ellipsis possibly read as the latter, home of all sorts of foggy bottom pudding politics including ecology.
