Comment by Ian C Dengler on December 19, 2013 at 3:03am: Vermont Post (Vermont is one of the original 13 colonies that fought the British in the American Revolutionary War). The original state flag of the Green Mountain Boys was...of course GREEN.
The value of the stamp is 76, the year the American Revolution officially began (1776).

There were a lot of deserters, or home returners during that war. Well, War Is Hell, so the fellow in the stamp is sticking his tongue out.

But which war??? Which Revolution? You can take your pick. After all, it is the Christmas season, also tied to the colors green and red. Christmas is supposed to be the season of peace, so wouldn't that be a revolution too? SO MANY ERRORS.
