I did witness firsthand - a great deal of time was spent sorting through that pile of comic books for just the right picture - yes! Absolutely on purpose with the broken spell and the mirror in the blog. You have it exactly. Also - she is writing in her diary and gets pulled back to real life. There's also the idea of being pulled back to real life from the ether, hopefully in time.

I don't get it. A broken mirror? That can't be good. I do like like the TRRH- code name CB card - kind of has her mail-art secret agent image with the sunglasses but then below her hopelessly entangled love life as CB - International Chick of Mystery & Scientific Genius.

O NO! Barbie is STILL CRYING!!!!! Groot and her blond hair and peach complexion are going back to the Barbie machine to get her tear ducts sorted out. Must be an alien thing.  Crying is NOT FAB! Its just plain damp. What no POPPING from Groot? Thats just Peachy :-) XXX
