I would like to be able to tell you what the birds say, but they are not my alter ego, nor am I dissociative enough to speak their language.   They are creatures that occupy my physical space, often with distain because I am sure they see it as their space.  I have noticed that birds are not good at sharing space [much like humans]  they are very territorial, competitive and dominant.  Big birds push out the small birds because they are more melodious and attract creature kindness.  The small birds nest in the rafters, but they cannot escape the hawk that watches over them. The time for small birds is limited, they will disappear as the season changes. They will be replaced by the waders and snakes and the hordes of cattle that will trample all of them.    A forthcoming  requiem eases slowly towards all small, ineffective creatures, if not through materialism then through pessimism.     Notwithstanding, birds teach us a lot about primal behaviour; fight or flight.

The best place to learn about 'Bird Talk' is in the works of the Greek poet Aristophanes.
