Arlene Havrot-Landry spends most of her
waking hours obsessing over the inevitable and our struggle to avoid it at all costs. Intent on avoiding her own eventuality, she uses Barbie as her muse to explore facets of aging and death in a world obsessed with youth and beauty. Barbie has a lot to say and it isn’t always pleasant. Far too self-aware, she has no problem letting us know that hers is a beauty that outlasts and outlives all.
