The spirals remind me in a way of Hundertwasser, of whom I saw an exhibition in the Cobra Museum (close to Mokum :-) few months ago.
Looking for some examples on the internet to show you (in case you didn't know this artist already), I found this one - of which I think you could have invented the titel :-) - and some more here.
