ask for my translator assistant if necessary ; I was looking for my booklet in Queendom of Retailia  Library , not open yet ?

  • Carmela Rizzuto

Hi Martha--thanks for letting me know the postcard arrived. I'm glad that Machado's poetry is inspiring you. I did take you advice and tried Paper by 53 to create digital art.  I'll send you a copy when I solve the outgoing mail problem .

  • xx Jones

Martha, wow that was quick, I think this is the first time anybody beat German post (and Erni) to the game. Unfortunately the link you provided does not work, it seems. Thank you for your mail art and messages, also from Bad Blumau. Next time you come to Austria let me know in advance, maybe we can meet!

  • xx Jones

Wow, that is great, maybe I should send Kevin something. I did not think about the postal workers. But I have noticed that the people at my local post office have become much friendlier to me in the course of the last couple of years. And before when I asked for real stamps they were kind of annoyed, now they are happy to give me what they have.

Yes, let me know once you book your trip to Austria next year!

  • Carina

Martha, I got your sweet package and hat-boekie on Monday! Thank you! I love hats, especially red ones :)

I just finished watching the video of you and your traveling art cart, blasting along the street to go shopping. It made me smile, and I'm going to show it to my daughter. Thank you for making it.

  • Tracy Anderson

Hi Martha, Thank you for the wonderful mail art. I love all the little goodies and the mini book is adorable too. I also love your horse stamp!!! I apologize for my delayed response, but I've been sick a lot lately, I will send you something in return as soon as I get caught up on a few things. :) Thanks again.

Oh MAM, now you've done it. I've been fretting over what to send you, searching the pick shops and garage sales for something truly tacky. Now you tell me you will be submitting work to the British Postal Museum and Archive. How exciting! I will double my efforts to get something out to you as soon as possible.

  • Bruno Cassaglia

Hiya Toots! Your healing mail-art has landed. I will be blogging it as soon as I get out of the hospital and figure out how to get my sorry backside from my bed to my studio. I haven't opened it yet, but I will as soon as I have time and frame of mind to soak it in!

Thank you for the lovely mail-art. I love the colors and design. They're loaded with charm.  --Linda

  • Not Hi Ng

Thanks Martha, I'm glad you got it. I fear it's a meager offering, I had put it together and it had your address on it so when things got entirely too hectic around here because of the holidays coming up it became my go to for the  exchange.

    Thank you Martha!

Maam [or? "MAM"?] I admit to being very [glacially!?] slooooooow in responding. This is usually punctuated by periods of intense [for an ol' guy :-)] activity. Tho my intensity wanes as years pass. {he pauses to look in his email records... looklooklook} I see by the scrivvely record that I last wrote to you on June 30, 2014 in response to y'rs of June 16th.

I have been 'doing well' since then as has my Beloved, Shirley [i.e.- for ol' 'guys'], she quilting and volunteering at the local food pantry and I shattering the silence and making paper targets holey.

Best wishes for a fulfilling and productive 'ought-fifteen'!

    Y'r ol' Bud,      Fike

  • Ficus strangulensis

Thanks to you, [YRH, Martha I of Retalia] [or would "Your Grace" suffice?] for the interesting link[s]. Good question, how to 'make' life without employing a living being in the process!

  • Roberto Bergamo

    Wishes for a happy 2015 :)

  • Zois

Thank you Martha for letting me know that id got there. Our USA postal system makes mailing, anything beyond a letter envelope, difficult.  Oh Happy Day, squirrels abound.

    cheers, Elizabeth

Thank you so much Martha for your very nice words... I'm going to send you another postcard... maybe next week...

    Have a nice evening!

    Martha,

Glad the stickers arrived. You will see shortly how the Walmarth sticker was used. I created a digital file so that I will have the logo available in the future for diorama signage.

Colin and I are making good progress on creating the boxes in which the PPP peep sets will be mailed. This weekend I completed six boxes for a total of 21 out of the 27 needed. I have begun to document the contents of the peep sets to each participant as well as create inventory lists to keep track of which peeps went where.  We are getting closer to the PPP mailing date. John Held Jr. of San Francisco, just returned from a trip to Italy, is the latest PPP participant, so I still need to assemble a peep set for him but the other sets are done. The peeps are eager to begin their adventures!

Happy it arrived.  Which side did you put on the door?

    Thanks so much!

  • Dean aka Artist in Seine

no problem.  Bananas or Oranges, it's all the same.

  • FinnBadger

Glad to see the triangle made it, albeit slightly injured. Is it still gallery-worthy?

And sorry about the detective work, I like to keep the triangles minimal.

  • FinnBadger

This is how it looked when it and I parted company.

The only part that went missing contained the number 827.

The idea for the triangle series came from this link about Russian military forces' mail and censorship.

  • stripygoose

Ha - glad the pigs arrived. Maybe spots are the new stripes!

  • Cascadia Artpost

    Martha!

I'm sooooo glad that the peeps have finally arrived in the UK. I want you to know that I have additional Walmarth delivery vans should you need another. Walmarth is definitely going to have an on-street presence in Cascadia town. I am currently working on two other building kits and then will get started on the multi-store building that will house Walmarth. Also, I've acquired several awning kits after much looking.

I haven't forgotten mail art. A new piece will be winging its way to you in the next day or two.

Let me know if your peeps need anything.

    Cheers,

    Jack @ Cascadia Artpost

  • Cascadia Artpost

    Martha!

I'm glad the peeps have started to explore. But you must remind some of them not to neglect their Walmarth delivery duties.

The mail both foreign and domestic seems to be taking longer these days.

Here in Cascadia, unlike the eastern half of the U.S., we bask in three days of sunny upper 50's F. spring-like temperatures, which means I shall work outside today rather than at the diorama or mailart.

    Cheers,

    Jack @ Cascadia Artpost

Great Martha, I am glad it arrived, I was a bit worried about the Indian Postal System.

I am glad you like it, I am quite pleased with that series myself! That is what a yantra is supposed to be, a tool to reach the state of meditation and balance and that was what I was focusing on when doing them :-)

    xx

  • xx Jones

By the way, I can not believe how fast that was, I only mailed it out on the 11th of Feb. from a Village in Goa!

  • John M. Bennett

good to hear from you and yes, i remember the shopping trolley, maybe you need to do a mail art Bus!
