Greetings from rainy Cascadia! I've been using this period to catch up on mail art correspondence that has arrived since I was in S.F. for the wonderful Ex Postal Facto event. I hope to return to San Francisco in the fall to meet up with the XPF mafiosa again and attend one of the S.F. Correspondence Co-op meetings organized by Jennie Hinchcliff. I had a number of special XPF postcards mailed from S.F. and you were on the list. My spouse and I just purchased a house in Olympia so much of my energy has been devoted to unpacking and setting up in the new domicile (our two cats have adapted faster than we have, but then, we wait on them rather than vice versa), and with three dry days forecasted for the coming week, gardening activities will compete with mail art. More in the mail soon!
Don't get me started! I use snail mail rarely these days owing to the price hike but the other day I sent Frips some pumpkin seeds for her "Seeds" project and although the envelope was as light as a daisy the postage was a whopping three quid to Belgium " Small Packet Rate! - outrageous! Then I realised why I don't do it any more!
And no worries, you didn't forget to mention who Kevin is. It was just my forgetting mind in a busy time, when I posted the artistamps in the Artistamps group yesterday.
Today I posted you mail art in the RWA-blog, and for that re-read the back side of your Rabbit/moon mail art card, and remembered. And even added a tiny modest tribute to your Postman in the blog post :-)
I wish we were a lot closer to our horses. It's a 45 minute drive each wayfrom house in the city (Richmond, Va) to our barn. Still, we are lucky to he able to do that 2-3 times a week. The joys of being retired! Of course, it doesn't leave a lot of time for mail art... Heheheh
A big thank you right back at ya! (David Stanley Aponte c/o Jakubowski 1371 Kim Street, Bethlehem Pennsylvania, 18107 USA) http://sub-post.blogspot.com

That could be a commercial war: it is said that the factories of snails around have difficulty of supply now !
& the retired postman writting with salads ! when i think to Tate or Beaubourg promoting mega artists , it depress me & more heavy artcritics telling us about what is art & not as well , as we could eat poetry of Charles , the retired postman, WRITTEN WITH SALADS!
In regards to your tomato growing, I am from the Pacific Northwest and growing tomatoes each year is a risky bet at the least. No peppers for me though. No way they would ever ripen. Thanks for answering my questions. Later.
great ! shell painted snail's race ! you're an expert ! I have collected snail's eggs in my garden , i'll send you some soon ! can you confirm snails will be sent on remote planets cause they are oxygene athmosphere bio builders ?
And no, we don't have horses, neither Nougat has us. I guess she wouldn't be in the right place at our appartment (3rd floor, small balcony). She's one of the horses of a riding school, some 7 to 10 kilometers from our place. Where I sometimes infiltrate (and Edmund, see - after scrolling down a little - at Edmund-in-Amstelland's blog)
Glad to read that Kevin is enjoying your mail (and our attention)!
Thanks for your inspiration, Martha! I had to cut up / glue together "our" card again. It sure arrived quickly, maybe something to do with Tom. Have a good week :)
Tracy's work is just so perfectly wonderful. I LOVE the eye candy I get to absorb by viewing all the art on the IUOMA, it inspires me to learn and try new things. I don't know if I mentioned to you that I love your art gallery front door. I built a Community Book Exchange on a post on my front lawn and the attic is a miniature art gallery and reading room viewable through plexiglass with tiny furniture and tiny books. I'm building little wooden easels to display tiny works of art on in there. Thanks for friending me!
