It's about communicating, connecting, sharing, and making. It's about not having to deal with galleries or juries or framing or sales. It's about having one's bliss and sharing it. To see my first MailArt365 project, check out my Fllickr set. http://flic.kr/s/aHsjsW3hKW
My second year long Mail Art project 365.2 is here: http://flic.kr/s/aHsjBk42PY

thank you for the welcome! this weekend im hoping to sit down and have some time to explore this site more (things are a little bit insane in my world). but once i do, im sure questions will follow. until then, i can only sneak peeks here and there and marvel at how much cool mail art people are sending. im really, really happy to be here!
Tú dices a respecto de mail art: "...It's about communicating, connecting, sharing..." Ya ves, hago exactamente eso. Saludos
Oho! Many thanks for your MIMimal card that came to the seaside shack today, Mim!It is a beauty! Torn landscape with precision circles...beautiful balance! In-the-olive-tree!
and the other Tiny Town is in the mail to you tomorrow. I found in the city apartment where I had to rush in today because of broken water pipe...what a mess! ( my apt. not you art:-)
Thanks for the card! Did you ever find mine? Poor George and his dentures. Family lore is that one of my relatives steered that historic boat trip across the Potomac.
Bonsoir Mim! Thanks for the 'hand' card; i especiall liked the Milky Way lifeline. My left hand has chocolate lifelines -- Mily Way and mars Bars and kit Kats and Bounty bars etc. My right has biscuit lifelines -- bourbon, custard cream, ginger snaps, etc;
When are you coming to Paris?
is Dean OK? he has been unusually quiet in the last few days.
Hope you are all well...AND I really hope I can get to Paris and meet y'all next year.
Hola Mim: a hummingbird, the "postbird" of Republik van Patland Postal Service, left heaven today and is on its way to VA. Pay careful attention to the sky, postbirds usually arrive when no one expect them, mainly when they carry a Celestial Promise. All the best from the heavenly Republik van Patland.
Can't remember if I thanked you or not for the welcome, so consider this either a first or second thanks. If you provide me with your address I'll try to get something out to you in the next couple of weeks. I am a teacher, and this is only the second week of school for me, so life is suitably hectic, but I should be able to squeeze you in among my other few hundred commitments. :)
Hey Mim, your min postcard #288 arrived here today. It's a beaut--I like it A LOT. Thank you, and I will practice my minimal min skill with another card to you.
Let's go to explore Sennelier together in Feb.? Loved it...went on a Monday morning, and it was closed but opened at 2 pm, so spent the morning in the Louvre and headed back after lunch ;-) Yes! I also got pressed chunks of 9B graphite, and several pencils for friends. Also an amazing hand-made watercolor brush! And oh so many other treasures!Thank you for giving me the tip to visit this shop! Oulala!
hello mim! if y'all want to extend the 365 project -- like bob dylan's 'never ending tour'? -- ove away from the gregorian calendar. i'm sure that somesone, womewhere, sometime must have developed a longer one.
(it occured to me yesterday that my 'envelope a day' project was finite in the sense that i only had to generate 365 envelopes; my current project -- slide art/diapositive art -- is infinite, and i have to produce lots and lots and lots of slides)
Capital Letters? My friend John Landgon who is a professor of typographics in PA & also happens to be the Angels and demons series ambigram artist - loves letters....I could send you his address privately if you like....
Thank you for the beautiful card you sent me. "Me and Wassily Kandinsky" Hum, surprise, two of my favorite artists together with a little touch of asemic. Fantastic. maybe Miro and you will also get together fine. Give it a try. Muchas gracias otra ves.
GOTIJ ! And in today's mail came your "bubbles"!Thank you! And talk about "great minds..." This is your #315 card with-50-to-go, and did you not get my card #315, too???
Those are my grandparents - he had an eye shot out in the First World War by a snipper in the battle of the Somme. They were great people. More info on the postcard. Glad it arrived and the postal system still works.
