I'd like to give it a go - am not a painter - like to work in fabric - so it would interesting to see if I could do anything for it! Any thoughts on the length of time we have the journal before passing it on to the next victim - sorry - artist! - Chris (back from a 3 month trip to UK & Europe with lots of ideas & now needing the time to put them into action!)
What do you think of the journal traveling outside Oz? It was very kind of you all to let me stay in this group even though I have left Australia but, if you want to keep it on your giant Island I totally understand.
I don't have any problem with the journal travelling outside Oz as long as the participants are keen enough to contribute. I will put a list together soon so I need all serious takers to put their hands up now.
Been sick with a nasty flu. Some people have been away so haven't got the travelling journal sorted yet. Chris - just put a card in the mail for you today. Thanks for the lovely one you recently sent me. Jenny
Dear Jenny that is what the reduction button on the photocopier is for tee hee!!!!!!! Got back from the cruise, and I am putting the things together. Hope you are feeling better. Denise
I'm putting on a Mail Art workshop in Perth during January as part of our inaugural Fringe Festival, and desperately need some mail art donated to exhibit, for participants in the workshop to reply to.
My idea is to have a mail art wall that people can chose from and send back a piece to the artist (you) that they create in the workshop.
If you could spare one (or a few) pieces, any shape, size, description, of your lovely items I would be so grateful!
All my Aussie friends - this is an Australian magazine & my article on Flood Art is 5 pages - how good is that!!!! Also mention IUOMA in it & MailArt 365 - I am tickled pink!
Bonjour Christine! It will be impossible for me to get hold of this mag in a tiny little village in the South of France, but do, please tell me what is "Flood Art"?
Thank you, Val

You are kindly invited to participate in the “I International Mail Art call the Art Gallery Getafe”.
We were motivated by the words “Woman Fashion” we decided to use them as the theme for the production of Mail Art. These words are the starting point to imagine, create and reactivate the discussion about fashion and projects. At the same time, they allow us to combine fashion and artistic practicum with our social life.
Doesn't seem to be much recent activity at the Australian Embassy? Oh well, I only just joined IUOMA and returned to making Mail Art, although I was heavily involved back in the 1980s - well before the Internet! Being engaged with likeminded artists is so much easier these days. I'm enjoying the frequent deadlines for creating work in amongst my other projects. Now that I'm retired I have soooo much more time. Feel free to message me.

I confess I am a bit slack at sharing online. I prefer to put more energy into the physical mail.
