The poem is a metaphor for the situation we're living, in my city. People are lazy, and no one seems to have interest in art, or other rich things for the mind. Only a few people I know are involved in art. The city's galleries don't promote that much the local artists. And everything is made with a certain elitism, which sickens me.
The young people just care about drugs, alcool, and futile things. It's a sad situation. And people look indifferent to that... Like ghosts in the walls of a coffin.
It's your birthday, Judy, and IUOMA doesn't inform us of these very important things???? Well, if there's a bit of cake left :-) Shall we wait for Judy to finish at work before we start the celebration, music, dancing? OPA!
Cavellini! Wow...joining us at the Cafe, thanks Eduardo. I am stopping by for a cup of tea, ot maybe a hot chocolate to ward off this flu bug! Looks like Judy had a fun Happy, Happy!
Sorry for the flu Kate, but it's a good excuse to be extra kind to yourself.
My archive has a large ammount of Cavellini... he was .... generous.... he even appears in 'Mail Art Dada Skank' on my page although... apperently... he wasn't to pleased with the verse we made about him;~)
Hi gang, I had a great time and now I am getting ready to move from North West DC to South West DC, no weather change but I am now but the Washington Monument and will be by the US Capitol, prices just went up to high here. New address as of Feb. 7th
The move takes place Feb 7th and ends Feb 14th. I will be schleping stuff the first week then the guys with a truck come the second week, then I have to find where I put all my stuff. No way do I want to be near the White House much less in it, all those protesters are a pain.
On Friday and Saturday I watched the first three games of the 6 nations rugby tounament, last night I watched the first ten minutes of the American Super Bowl.
Super partying! I was along with you gals, "in spirit", right? They say in reports made about us "baby boomers", that we do NOT feel our age, and "seniors" are those kids in 4th year high school or college! ;-)

It all comes down to a grain (or two or three) of sand! Yes indeedy.

It depends how you perceive 'good' when related to any art form. Who decides? Artists? Art Critics? The public? Time?
It might equally be asked "Is music good?"

Also: Good for Whom, and/or Why, and/or Where, and/or What, and/or When?
(Some Good Music is playing here at the moment: early Bowie. Good for me here, 'cos i lik it, Diamond Dogs, and right now)
