The theme is Bananas & Anna Banana. Many of our members are « bananas » themselves, others are »fruity », a few are « nutty », and one is completely « ape ».
If you are none of these, don’t worry we can help you with specially designed projects and exams for your progress to the banana status you deserve.
We will also explore the many works of Anna Banana as we give appreciation for involvement in Mail Art & "Art".
PS I you are « crackers » or « loony », this group may not be for you.
Also: see link and fill in the form and return it to Anna Banana!
Anna Banana celebrates her 80th birthday today, Feb.24!
"Anna Banana (born February 24, 1940 as Anne Lee Long in Victoria, British Columbia) is a Canadian artist known for her performance art, writing, and work as a small press publisher. She has been described as an "innovator, entrepreneur and critic", and pioneered the artistamp..."
I just had to join this group after seeing chat comments for it. It reminded me that Ive got some banana shaped postage stamps from tonga in a stamp album i started years ago as a teen.
Found this just now while looking for something else. Must try it.
Banana and oatmeal cookies.
You just need two bananas, a cup of oats and dried fruit to taste. Mix all the ingredients, add a little maple syrup, then form into balls and bake at 180C for 15 minutes. They are especially good with yoghurt and lift me up on dull days. Says Viviana, Italy
I will use honey instead of maple syrup as I got none.
Katerina! either I am going bananas or the internet is. As you probably know I wrote to you in Ernie's blog and if I look it up here in the PC , my comment is there. I went to the phone so I could see the pictures too and found that my comment is in this blog, which if you look here it is not !!!.
So very BANANAS!
I am so very confused that I will go and make Chocolate and Banana brownies. Just those two ingredients. Will share recipe if it works.
Ok. the culinary experiment involving bananas and chocolate did not work. Or it did, if you do not expect a cake. It was sort of a banana custard with chocolate. Tasted delicious. Might as well mash the banana and pour melted chocolate on top.
I used very dark bitter chocolate and an over ripe banana.

Some very good bits of sketching all over Mary Ann's work and the washed out collage is great.
