A Group to promote the world wide acceptance and use to the word ZALOP. ZALOP means ABSOLUTELY NO WAY DEFINITELY NOT NADA NIX. It is essential this word is said in an emphatic tone. Accents do not matter in this regard.
Brilliant, Cheryl. Throughout history humans have defined themselves and their communities around a single word - for good and bad. I see this as a commentary on that. I'm also glad there's a place for all of us who are interested in Fluxus words. Following in the spirit of Ed Sanders' Investigative Poetry, I am starting a new movement called Investigative Mail-Art.
I'm going to use this word with my psychiatrist. Fast ticket to the looney bin. Nightly snack time...all the Lorna Doones you can stuff in your socks and pockets. Wait....ZALOP!
My Fluxus words received from Ruud are LIF and PUP. To determine my personal meaning for these words, I Google for every definition possible. You'll probably find all different possibilities for meaning. In the case of PUP, I like the definition: "Potentially Unwanted Programs." It's computer slang for unwanted software that appears on your system; it can be malicious but not always. I believe it includes computer viruses. One of my favorite quotes by William Burroughs is: "Language is a virus." So I have developed a personal meaning I like and understand. That's how it works for me. I'm not saying it's THE ANSWER.
A few of my own written FLUXUS words that appeared on envelopes and postcards that were sent out "worldwide"...all to the Netherlands, actually. 'Would be interesting to start a project with our FLUXUS words and send them all over the world, to Europe and the Americas, but also Australia, and South Africa, Japan, and China. (But let us first complete "Project 26!" AACK!)
"XULF" on the envelope and also on the Chicago CTA "L" sign!
"AMOUI" (sounds very Greek, but not) was #3 FLUXUS word, but where was #2?..ah, yes
The last (first?) letter of this word is cut-off, but it spells:"ARNIRETAK",
My understanding is that this is a place to discuss the Fluxus word Zalop. A discussion of some other Fluxus words arose as a result. This is not a mail-art project.

Zalop rhymes with "galope", portuguese word for gallop. And gallop rhymes with Zalop.
Zalop goes to gallop
Like a horse down the stream
We hear the scream
It cannot stop
And all the world is listening: ZALOP!
