IUOMA exhibitions 2013

Information

In 2013 the IUOMA was 25 years old. There was no central exhibition, but all members were encourages to make their own (large, medium, small) exhibition, and to ask members to send them IUOMA stuff for that exhibition. This groups was a central point for starting those projects. Each project will be owned by a member. Have a look if you like the challenge.

Once a project was decided it will have its own discussion and projectnumber. The owner of the project can start his/her own page in this group (add a page) to document the steps of the project.

Now the IUOMA is heading to 30 years in 2018........

Comment by Valentine Mark Herman on November 14, 2012 at 11:18am: I am having a two-part Mail Art Exhibition in Sigean in 2013 -- part 1 in April, part 2 in May.

The theme is "L'art de la carte postale" which sounds much better in French "Post card art" than it does in English.

I'm planning to post details of it in January/February, and invite contributions -- collages, paintings, drawings, prints, whatever on a standard size postcard (but I'm sure I'll get things on other size postcards from the IUOMA gang!)

The first part of the exhibition may be relatively small, and predominantly local. The second will, I hope, be a mega mail-art blockbuster.

I can very easily add an 'Exposition 2013 IUOMA mondial' (or something) to the exhibition publicity, invitations, etc, and would be more than willing to do this for the August event.

Voilà...the first exhibition!
