Howdy Bill, Looking forward to you sharing some of your vintage goodies. I, too, like it when vintage and newer pieces are combined. Glad you are here!
Hi Carl, I like the postcards you shared. The Chrysler Building pc is my fave. It is a 'linen' postcard (linen because of the surface texture, not what it is made of). Linen postcards typically have saturated colors and white borders. The scenic postcards were also know as "views."
If anyone is interested, Collectors Weekly has a great article on Linen Postcards.
Welcome to newer members Carolyn Cline, Amy Irwen, Boozy Barb, Bruno Andrews, Zannie Rose, Lynne Larkin, Carl Baker, Steph Dodson, Bill Lowenburg and Ruth Giles.
Cherub Ayers - when you joined the group a while back I didn't welcome you! Sorry about that. So glad you are here! :)
Please join me in welcoming our Jeremy Ng, Bonniediva and Toni Hanner to the group!
A hardy welcome to the newest members: Kathy Barnett, Thea Hollister, Vikki Johnson, Marlies Wilding, Bradford, and De Villo Sloan!
