Hello! My name is Valentine Mark Herman, and i have just joined the IOUMA and this Forum. I'm into 'Envelopecrossing' and would be very pleased to receive -- and, of course, send -- envelopes from you. For details see the 'Envelope a Day' project on My Page. Regards, Val

yeah, me too, ains. i like writting and exchanging ideas by letters and cards. but now i have come to the point that the best thing you can do is to have several best penpals and mail art pals to keep in regular exchange than trying to cover the worlds records by contacting hundreds of people and having 90% of it end nowhere. i keep up to my friends.

Oh ~ I have heard of letter exchange before...
Do you like it?
I already have too many pen pals though :/

I am a member of postcrossing, and I always send hand made cards. I haven't had anyone complain yet, and several have made the ones they received from me favorites on their page! Personally, I think that a well made hand done postcard is much nicer than something you or anyone can just pick up in the store...I like the idea of them all being "one of a kind". Each person receives something unique!

thanks for your reply, Amazon! I should be more curious about american literature.

I have a couple I have messaged and we have stayed in contact but many are into collecting large numbers rather than high quality in the PCs.

my experience is that most don't put their return addresses but you can request that they do on your profile :]
i think everyone's experience with postcrossing is different depending on the people they get to exchange with
you can always send someone a message if you want to continue your exchange =D

Cannot take full credit - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
"Ships that pass in the night, and speak each other in passing, only a signal shown, and a distant voice in the darkness; So on the ocean of life, ..." but I think you can send handmade cards on postcrossing - whether they will be appreciated depends - the one's I have send have been but I have not sent any to persons small minded enough to request "store bought".
The use of the English language does not disappoint - if you are expecting the worst.
As far as getting them - it is few and far between - but - when I do it is wondrous. Sending out 2 today!
Also, on swap-bot - you can sign up for or create your own swaps just for that!
