TONIGHT April 22, after midnight...
LOOK UP in the night sky!

In the pre-dawn hours of April 22 (1:00 - 3:00 am),
be sure to look up.
If you do, you'll likely be treated
to a spectacular celestial show
in the form of the Lyrids meteor shower.

"How to see them"
It's slightly more complicated that just craning your neck skyward, but not by much. For maximum viewing, you'll want to find a dark place, away from city lights, and with an open horizon. Lie back and give your eyes several minutes to adjust to the darkness. Then, wait for the show. A Lyrids meteor should have a trail that "points back to near the dazzling blue-white star Vega."

I will take some photos tomorrow of the cherry blossoms if they don't all blow off in this awful wind we have.

oho...getting ready for Easter, but least we forget our FULL MOON!
March:FULL MOON...... Worm Moon
Native Americans called this last full moon of winter the worm moon after the worm trails that would appear in the newly thawed ground. Other name: sap moon, after the tapping of the maple trees.
Is it stil sugar-n-snow time in Vermont?
Well, enjoy the moonlight...if you are lucky not to have cloud coverage...:-)

Beautiful stars ...and flying Victory "Nike" on the moon, Ti Ar.
And "Ouzh skeud al Loar" moonlight poem!
I read that the 12th Poets' spring will honor this year Turkey?
So, already in the mail is my "moon"..on the Bosphorus and a line or two by the Turkish poet, Yehya Kemal, in Turkish and translated in Greek and in English...
for what other consolation remains us...than wine...
and three nights on the Bosphorus devine ;-)
