International Mail Art Project

"MISE EN BOITE / Almost a collective work"

Project "Add and Return" dedicated to Christine Tarantino

in collaboration with the Archives Ophen Art of Salerno

On the occasion of the death of the American artist Anne Christine Tarantino, born in the Bronx December 3, 1948, lived for a long time in Framingham, Massachusetts and died prematurely December 7, 2012, the Space Ophen Virtual Art Gallery of Salerno calls and sends to several artist friends of Christine a card cm 10x15 asking them to intervene with any technique, inserting in the respective box free postcard everything that it is useful to add and return it in a sealed envelope to: John Bonanno Space Ophen Virtual Art Gallery Via S . Calenda 105 / A 84126 Salerno (SA).

Moreover, it invites all artists interested in participating in this project to send by post their work using the basic matrix of the postcard attached to this project by choosing to intervene with any desired technique (including digital), then, be included in the exhibition Collective International which will be realized in 2014. You are requested to attach the same time their personal e-mail and its mailing address. All must be sent by post to the address of the Gallery of Salerno.

All the works will not be returned but will be stored permanently in room 45 of the "Collection of Contemporary Graphics" and became one permanent international collection dedicated to Christine Tarantino.

Ophen Virtual Art Gallery of Salerno organize a virtual exhibition with the related press release, the critical text and the communication of the exhibition to the most important art magazines, newspapers and websites of contemporary art. The exhibition will be open and then closed permanently in space "exhibition held" the gallery's Virtual Salerno.

In occasione dell’anniversario della morte dell’artista americana Christine Anne Tarantino,   nata nel Bronx il 3 dicembre 1948, vissuto per lungo tempo a Framingham, Massachusetts e scomparsa prematuramente il 7 dicembre 2012, lo Spazio Ophen Virtual Art Gallery di Salerno invita e invia a diversi amici artisti di Christine una cartolina di cm 10x15 chiedendo loro di intervenire con qualsiasi tecnica, inserendo nei rispettivi box liberi della cartolina tutto ciò che si ritiene utile aggiungere e di rispedirla in busta chiusa a: Giovanni Bonanno Spazio Ophen Virtual Art Gallery Via S. Calenda 105/D 84126 Salerno (SA).

Inoltre, invita tutti gli artisti interessati a partecipare a tale progetto a spedire per via postale un loro lavoro utilizzando la matrice base della cartolina allegata a questo progetto scegliendo di intervenire con qualsiasi tecnica desiderata (anche digitale), per poi, essere incluso nella mostra Collettiva Internazionale che sarà realizzata nel 2014. Si chiede di allegare contestualmente la propria E-mail personale e il relativo indirizzo postale. Il tutto deve essere spedito per via postale all’indirizzo della Galleria di Salerno.

Tutte le opere pervenute non saranno restituite ma saranno archiviate permanentemente nella sala 45 della “Collection of Contemporary Graphics “ per   divenire poi una Collezione internazionale permanente dedicata a Christine Tarantino.

la Galleria Ophen Virtual Art di Salerno organizzerà una mostra collettiva virtuale con il relativo comunicato stampa, il testo critico e la comunicazione della mostra alle più importanti riviste d’arte, quotidiani e siti di arte contemporanea. La mostra sarà poi archiviata e visitabile permanentemente nello spazio “mostre svolte” della galleria Virtuale di Salerno.
