I have finally put all the mailart fromt he Island Mailart exhibition on the blog.  Here is a link to Angie Cope's piece that arrived just in time for the exhibit! http://cranberryislandmailart.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/more-from-angi....  I am hoping to put the catalog together in the next week!  Thanks again for sending images in.

The Mailart making session at the Cranberry House was fun and lots of mailart was made.  It's amazing how quickly mailart can arrive in PO box 84 after it's made! Photos of what the mailart looked like on the night the opening can be seen at: http://cranberryislandmailart.blogspot.com/2012/07/a-few-photos-of-...

Angie, your pink siren was front and centre! Nothing else has arrived yet. Thank you.

The Island Mailart Exhibition was a wonderful success! Didn't do an official count at the opening but would guess about 100 people came. I took a few photos at the start and others took them throughout but I don't have those yet,. I will add them to the blog as I get them and when the signal is better.  For now I wanted to draw your attention to Mailart Martha's contribution (on the left).  My mailart helper was very helpful but a bit frugal with her scanning, so when I arrived and saw that some of the envelopes were not as I imagined but full of mailart offerings I was delighted!  I will be scanning everything for the catalogue but thought you'd like to see that everything has been displayed.

Today there is an international ultra marathon on the island... Lots of runners from all over the world running up and down our little 2 mile long island over and over.  I am still uploading images to the blog and know more is arriving in the post.  I will hang as I receive it.

More Island Mailart! http://cranberryislandmailart.blogspot.com/ Tomorrow we will hang the exhibition.  I have colourful jute, small clips and some industrial metal. such a quandry about how to arrange.  My daughter thinks we should each curate a panel.

I added 30 or so pieces of Island Mailart to the blog. There is mailart from Mim and I'm just wondering if you can help me to figure out who sent this in? http://cranberryislandmailart.blogspot.com/2012/07/slightly-damaged...

Completed the backs of the island mailart series. I have such a sense of anticipation before I visit Cranberry Island.  This morning while walking the dog I was considering that my groundhog day would be those moments before the island fun begins.

My groundhog day

is arriving:

Jigsaw of boats

Recalling port, starboard, lee and how to fasten a knot

So the boat doesn’t beach

The sound of a coin dropping in a mountain dew machine

Freshly cut cucumbers

High tide

Twinkle of sea glass

Tar and splinters

And somebody’s’ son

diving from the crest of the dock.
