Only 2D work will be accepted, in any medium, maximum size 8x10". Art stamp work is acceptable. No returns, documentation will be in the form of a website.

If the world does not end, and there is enough interest, a book of the mail art received will be produced!

There have been some excellent submissions since I announced the End of the World Project. For anyone seeing this for the first time, I hope that you consider sending a work of your own! In the meantime, you can take a look at all of the work here: http://12-12-12theendoftheworldproject.blogspot.com/.

Video Submission from French artist Yannick Dangin Leconte

"my youtube non celebration" was created by artist Yannick Dangin Leconte (ydl) three years ago. At that time, oddly enough, he was thinking about the end of the world as we knew it.  Today, the video is still as fresh and relevant as when it first appeared on YouTube.

'Will definitely be around for this...and will post on December 13, 2012!

Throughout high school and college, 'had to read "1984". Dreaded that year as my son was 5 years old and we waited for Big Brother after the Atomic bomb blast. Then there was the anxiety of 2000, my son, 21 and dancing in the streets. Sooo, come on 12.12.12....will be "a day like any other day, but YOU ARE THERE"!

I will set up a website in mid-summer for this event. If anyone is interested in submitting videos or sound pieces, send me a message here at IUOMA and I will tell you how to get them to me.
