Comment by awyn on Wednesday: Salut Helene! Yes, that is the old woman's little doll. I neglected to put the title of the poem ("Doll Baby"). This woman apparently had no children but her apartment was full of dolls, whose clothes she washed and hung out to dry (the inspiration for the little poem).
