Welcome Cassandra.
Awyn, bien vu et lu ton message.
Have a nice and poétic day!
Salut Helene! Yes, that is the old woman's little doll. I neglected to put the title of the poem ("Doll Baby"). This woman apparently had no children but her apartment was full of dolls, whose clothes she washed and hung out to dry (the inspiration for the little poem).
What I really like, on this view of the back of the card with Benjamin Peret verses, is that someone at the post office carefully canceled the century-old stamps that I had stuck on as decoration or as a decoy.
Welcome newcomers to this group.
@Awyn
Great photo, on the right on the thread is it a doll?
Merci Isabelle .
Isabelle
