I envisioned the hand as the focal point. My idea was to explain an affective reaction—that moment when you find yourself in a situation where you don't know how to react: whether with a word, a blow, or a movement... and you aren't even aware that you have, in fact, already reacted. The facial expression conveys uncertainty, while the eyes should reflect deep thought.
