LIMITE, SCAMBIO, SEGNO
LIMIT, EXCHANGE, SIGN
A tribute for the city of Portogruaro through a project involving art through mail. The keywords chosen as the theme are the motif of its foundation, joined in a common flow.

Limit
border between earth and water,
the river harbor and the trade routes,
the channels and the gardens of the palaces,
a constant reference to a change in system, material and colour.

Exchange
not only of goods but also of colours and scents,
artistic and architectural influences,
mutual knowledge, therefore culture.

Sign
a condition of consent expressed in gesture, the conclusion of an agreement,
a trace superimposed on many others:
whose meaning is beyond the sum of the parts.

Project by Rizoo Group, Tiziana Baracchi and Pro Loco di Portogruaro
Format and dimension of work:
square of maximum size 21 X 21 cm
No e-mail

No returns, no jury, no fee, no sales

Exhibition in Portogruaro, 2010

Hi Sam, Did you notice I posted an outgoing piece of Mail Art on the blog? That wouldn't have happened unless you had mentioned it to me. So, I guess a sort of thank you is in order. Thanks kiddo! I'll keep that notion in mind - but as you see below (and I am inclined to agree with Judy) some folks just don't like showing off like that. I thought that was a noble notion, but I can see that is debatable. The best thing about Mail Art is that there are no rules!

Thanks for the photo and comments, I do not post my mailart, I send it out to as many calls as possible and sometimes they post it on my page or on their blogs where I can enjoy looking at every artist creativity.

Hi Sam - Didn't know you were here. Looks like you are well on your mail art journey now. Welcome to IUOMA. I posted your art yesterday on the Heebee Jeebeeland blog - did you get to see it? I sometimes take a little liberty to enhance the Art displayed there. I hope you didn't mind that too terribly much. Your lovely art made for some interesting story telling too. Cheers, my friend.
