Hey Karen, I've completed "blue tape #2" for and dedicated to you. I'm sending you the original; will mail on Saturday. I will post the jpeg with a bunch on new stuff late Sunday. Your new work is great and catching on as well. Call my office. We'll have lunch. The Netherlands. Is that near Europe? As ever, De Villo

I am sorry to hear about your dog, it is hard to lose a friend. That's my "puppy" Dakota. She was an abandoned puppy about 12 years ago. We aren't sure of her pedigree, but we know Mom was a cocker and we are fairly sure that dad had some bloodhound in him. She is not doing well, in the past year she has gone almost totally deaf and blind in one eye. She is the sweetest dog and believes that she is a cat. When she was younder we would rub her belly and she would growl. It took a while to realize she was trying to purr!

I really appreciate your comments on my video! And it is meant to get under your skin. It's more art than message though - I couldn't resist seeing how far I could take the symbolism - sometimes devilish, sometimes egyptian cat-like, sometimes playful, sometimes dangerous. It's how I view relationships some people get into - what is the draw of having one's soul taken by another? There IS a draw to it at some psychological level, at least for some of us. But, what would it really mean if it could happen, if it does happen? Not all good by any means. I wanted to draw attention to that, first in the song lyrics and then in the video's symbology. Thanks again for commenting - it means a lot to me.

One must reinvent one's self constantly, no? Just adore where your work is going - whole new fields opening as you go. Just adore "Urgent" personally. And the "Untitled" with two red bars and b&w with woman in between. Preparing a "drop" for you. Watch for the blue tape. You won't even have to sign legal release papers - that's how much I trust you - Ray Johnson and all. - De Villo

Hi Karen,
I don't actually get into dumpsters. I have a long arm and a gripper, though. Mostly, I hang out at the library dumpster, and the one behind the big chain bookstore...If you would like, send me a postcard, and I will send a little dumpster mailart back!

Thank you. Karen in Highland Park!
Your very "recycled" mail art arrived in today's mail and even the postman commented on its nice tectures and design. I like the "poetic" thoughts inscribed, too. If you want a "place
where you can be safe and find flow and solitude..." you may want to come and join me here in "Halkidiki", Greece. I am sending these two photos, of my seaside and my seaside shack....truly a great place to be....and make art as well!
