Walmarth Cascadia Spring Event by Cascadia Artpost aka Jack Lattemann (Olympia, Washington, USA)

Jack - 5.4.2016 - 1

Mail art by IUOMA member Cascadia Artpost aka Jack Lattemann (Olympia, Washington, USA)

May 4. 2016 - The work Cascadia Artpost has done in service to DKult is not what most observers associate with Trashpo. Yet his Walmarth publications, also inspired by Mail Art Martha of London, stand among the great monuments of Trashpo. “The Spring Event” brochure ensures Jack Lattemann’s place among the most immortal of Trashpoets and, IMHO, makes him eligible for DKult sainthood. The brochure is circulating among the Trashpoets and Kulters, and I am documenting the entire publication. (You can click to enlarge.)

The coupons that were enclosed in the brochure are incredible as well:

Good point, Toni. Kulter stuff tends to be self-referential anyway. But Jennifer Weigel got in there somehow, among other things.

DK's kids are models in there. That's true.

Unbelievably great. I absolutely love the connections between mail artists--the world is quite small, after all!

Very apropos, Richard.

I want to make sure it is noted - because for some reason all the women of DKult and Trashpo are extraordinary beauties (surely a coincidence) - that Jack's particular muse (could that be correct?) here is the extraordinary Mail Art Martha (thus Walmarth) upon whom "the sun never sets."

Any joking aside, these models that Jack Lattemann creates are truly a wonder.

Thx Ruud, too. I know Ruud and Jack have had some epic postal exchanges.
