Two from Vaida Adiav, both with her incredible threaded circles

Seeing and touching these in person is amazing:

Her style is purely unique, unlike any other.  The next piece has the attached anchor, which can be placed anywhere depending on your mood due to its movable string.  I know the anchor is black, but I am also taken with the collaged text on its back side, so I'm showing that side first:Last, here is the back side of this piece (and the black side of the anchor!), showing how beautiful the circle is on its own:I feel very fortunate to have these wonderful pieces, Vaida, thank you so much!

Those are so beautiful! I am a complete and total Vaida devotee. As an individual artist, she is very distinctive. I would like to know about her influences too. I'd like to know about the repeating images she uses, especially the circles. I almost think I see some folk art but confess I know nothing about Lithuania. Wonderful blog Nancy!
