This just in from Joy-Slinger Laurence Roberts, UK

There is a lot of movement in this piece, as if Laurence has captured this figure on the fly. The figure's expression  seems heroic and mischievous at the same time. Laurence painted over a photograph and the effects are energizing.

Take a look at the missing postage stamp and lack of address! How Laurence's piece managed to find its way into my mail box is darn near miraculous, and it's why I love the postal system as an art medium. The missing stamp and chipped-away address allude to the random quality of chance. Thanks, Laurence!

The choice of colors is fantastic, wow, makes me want to start painting.

....so that is Wallace & Gomit as OFFICIAL Royal Mail postage? I do think that the little old lady who lives next door to you , Bifidus, has clipped it! (Manipulating with someone's mail in the USA is a Federal offense, hmmm?) Well, if it makes her happy...and it is the holidays, afterall!

Impressive work, Laurence! There is a great texture made with the paint over the slick surface of the photo! Nice and thick and expressive...go for it!
