The wonderful world of Jimmy McCullough

Toss your happy pills, people, a daily dose of McCullough's art will do it for you. All the colors of the rainbow and more, elegantly sown in a garden of lines and curves.
I don't know if you can see it from the picture, but the upper part of the card and the circle in the middle were cut out. I'm surprised the circle didn't lose its fragile arm during the long trip, but it made it through. I guess the postal system is doing quite well when it's not busy returning postcards for insufficient postage...
Thanks Jimmy, love it!

Thank you Sloan, such a heart-warming comment. It means a lot to me. I feel quite close to some of the people here, and this happens quite naturally. Are you in a bit of an "art crisis"? :-) Well, you know, all art is art. And if you felt like making holes in paper at that time, well, that's how you felt and it's perfectly alright. I'm happy to be in possession of this limited edition of yours, it's very unique.
I find it very difficult to create something on a given topic. At least for me. There's the fear of not meeting the expectations etc. Cheryl is so full of ideas, her books are gorgeous, but I'll just try my best and it's never going to match that, but it's the first time after all.
I'm really looking forward to your writing replacement!!

Hi again Marie, wow dialog! These different blogs are like a shifting floor. I wanted to write to you somewhere how much I appreciate what a good mail-art friend you are regardless of whatever drama is happening at the time. I've written to most of The Crimsoned Giant people - the "chapter" I sent was the result of some sort of aesthetic tantrum regarding whatever pressures I was feeling at the time concerning the project. It is a good lesson - about maybe counting to 10 before dropping it in the mailbox, just to be sure. Cheryl and I have had a lot of discussion, and I come out of it very supportive of her and more sympathetic to what she's trying to achieve. I'm going to do an ascemic writing replacement. I will mail it out soon. And those of you unfortunate enough to have received the previous - well you have a relic of mail-art strangeness. You are such a good sport - a person trained in rational thought - to sit around and discuss biopoetry, watch Fluxus dog shows, read poetry in languages that don't exist etc. etc. Warmest regards, as ever DVS

You have a point there Sloan, the photos look better on this website. And I think they are too small on Marie's Mailbox. I have uploaded my photos on numerous websites and they always look different, it's a bit hard to adjust.
Yeeea , I do get good stuff don't I? :-)))

Hi Marie - how did I miss this? Not dissin' "Marie's Mailbox," but the colors are really popping here. JM does nice work, IMHO. As I said, you get all the good stuff. As ever, DVS
